Get to Know Dr. Michael Capozzi

Dr. Capozzi is committed to providing the highest level of dental care in a manner that is thorough, patient, and compassionate. He emphasizes prevention first while striving to make sure parents and children both have a full understanding of the patient's specific dental needs and the steps necessary to achieve perfect oral health.

Dr. Capozzi attended Lehigh University, completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Ohio State University, where he graduated Cum Laude. His specialty training was completed at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (LIJ), where he received extensive experience in all aspects of pediatric dentistry, including care for special needs patients.

In his second year at LIJ, he was honored to be chosen as a chief resident. Since finishing his residency, Dr. Capozzi has been treating patients in New York City. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the New York State Dental Association.

Originally from northeastern Ohio, Dr. Capozzi currently resides in Brooklyn and is an avid soccer player and fan. He still believes he'll play in the World Cup someday.
